A grinding wheel is a useful tool for construction. Given the right roughness of grit, such a wheel can be used to quickly carve designs into a wide variety of materials, and the use of wheels with a succeeding number of continually finer grit may even deliver a mirror finish on a sufficiently hard or reflective surface. All kinds of grinding tools, including the wheel, make use of bonding abrasives that consist of two parts: The cutting grains or abrasive mixture, and the bonding mixture that holds the abrasive in place while the tool is being used.
